Privacy Policy

Last updated September 18, 2026. What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

1. What we collect

To run the service we collect:

• Account info — your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
• Phone number — only if you add one, so we can text you booking alerts.
• MemberSports session token — when you connect your MemberSports account, we store an encrypted session token so we can watch and book on your behalf. Your MemberSports password is used once to create that token and then discarded. We never store it.
• Watches and bookings — the courses, dates, and times you ask us to watch, and the bookings we make for you.
• Payment info — handled by Stripe. We store a reference to your Stripe customer record so we can charge the $2.99 service fee; we never see or store your card number.

2. How we use it

Your data is used to watch tee sheets, book tee times, send you notifications by email and text, charge the service fee, and keep the service running safely. That's the whole list.

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with the services that power Fairway Watch: Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Text messages (SMS)

Fairway Watch is the sender of our text alerts. If you opt in to text alerts — via the "Text me booking alerts" checkbox when creating a watch, or the phone field at signup — we use your mobile number only to send transactional alerts about your watches and bookings (booking confirmations and related account notices). We never send marketing texts.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with Twilio, the messaging provider that delivers our texts, and only so those texts can reach you. Reply STOP to any message to opt out instantly, or toggle text alerts off in Settings.

5. Security

MemberSports session tokens are encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed. Access to production data is limited. No system is perfect, but we treat your golf data like it matters — because it does.

6. Your rights

You can update your phone number and notification preferences anytime in Settings. If you want a copy of your data or want your account and data deleted, email support@myfairwaywatch.com and we'll take care of it.

7. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before the changes take effect.
